From the Little League Congress to Poland: Championship Rings for the 2026 Polish Champions

Some projects begin with an email. This one began with a conversation at the Little League Congress in February.

While attending the Congress, the Infiniti Pins team connected with representatives from Poland’s Little League community. That meeting eventually led to an opportunity to provide championship rings for the Mistrzostwa Polski Małej Ligi, or Polish Little League Championships.

A National Championship with an International Path

The tournament brings together young baseball and softball players competing for a Polish national championship and the opportunity to advance within Little League’s international tournament structure.

In the 2026 baseball competition, Barons Wrocław advanced through games against teams from Kutno, Gdańsk, and Warsaw before earning the Polish Little League championship. The team proudly refers to itself as the “ring team” and the photos of the players holding out their new championship rings show exactly why.

A Special Setting in Kutno, Poland

The championship was played at Edward J. Piszek Stadium in Kutno, home of Little League’s Europe and Africa Region headquarters.

Kutno holds an important place in the international history of Little League. Little League International reached an agreement with the city in 1995 to construct a European training complex. The baseball stadium was completed the following year, along with the opening of Little League’s first full-service regional headquarters outside the United States. In 2000, the original stadium was officially dedicated in honor of Edward J. Piszek.

Piszek was a Polish-American businessman, philanthropist, and co-founder of Mrs. Paul’s Kitchens. Together with his son, Bill, and Baseball Hall of Famer Stan Musial, he helped lead the fundraising effort that made the Kutno complex possible. Today, the facility includes five playing fields, team dormitories, regional offices, and event pavilions.

The Home of Little League in Europe and Africa

The Kutno complex is much more than the site of one national tournament. It serves as the headquarters for the Little League Europe and Africa Region, supporting baseball and softball programs across both continents.

Since opening in 1996, the region has welcomed teams from more than 30 countries, including Poland, Italy, Germany, Spain, Ukraine, South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, the United Kingdom, and the United Arab Emirates. It also hosts international qualifiers, regional championships, umpire training, and other development programs that connect young athletes with the worldwide Little League community.

For the players competing in Kutno, a national championship can represent another step toward the Europe-Africa Regional Tournament and, ultimately, the dream of competing on the Little League World Series stage.

Going the Extra Mile—or Several Thousand Miles

Once the rings were picked out, we worked through the international shipping process to help make sure the rings traveled safely from the United States to Poland and arrived in time to be presented to the champions.

Seeing the Barons Wrocław players proudly wearing their rings at Edward J. Piszek Stadium made every extra step worthwhile. What began as a meeting at the Little League Congress became an international project celebrating young athletes, Polish baseball, and the worldwide reach of the Little League community.
